FISH CUTTER / BLOCKMAN

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Fish Cutter/Blockman to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with well-established and reputable companies across multiple locations in Kent, offering variety and flexibility in your work environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong knife-handling skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards. You will play a vital role in food preparation, packing, and stock control, ensuring that customer orders meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Product Preparation & Packing: Prepare and pack fish products according to customer requirements while upholding quality, presentation, and safety standards.
• Knife Safety Checks: Conduct knife checks at the start of each shift to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Customer Orders: Accurately prepare and pack customer orders, ensuring full traceability at all required stages.
• Stock Control: Manage stock preparation and ensure correct stock rotation to maintain freshness.
• General Duties: Support with cleaning, training, and maintaining an organized workspace.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a fish cutter/blockman or in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Strong knife-handling skills and knowledge of fish preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet performance targets.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
