HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER

Quicktemp, a trusted name in UK transport recruitment, is currently seeking experienced Class 2 Drivers for a well-established steel stockholding and distribution company based in Sittingbourne, Kent.

If you have a solid background in steel transportation, know how to safely use ratchet straps, and take pride in being reliable and professional – we want to hear from you.

What the role involves:

• Multi-drop deliveries across Kent, London, and surrounding counties
• Transporting cut and bundled steel, beams, mesh, and other related materials
• Loading and securing your own vehicle using ratchet straps, chains, and edge protectors
• Performing daily vehicle and load safety checks
• Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams
• Representing the company in a professional manner at delivery sites

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 2 vehicles
• Proven experience transporting steel or similar heavy goods
• Confident in the use of ratchet straps and securing heavy loads
• Valid CPC and Tachograph card
• All licences must be in date
• Professional, punctual, and safety-conscious
