Apparently Equinor is Eyeing up a Windfarm so they can Power their Offshore Platforms

Equinor is a Norwegian gas and oil major. They have said on Tuesday that both them and their partners on the Snorre and Gullfaks fields are going to try and explore the possibility of having a floating offshore windfarm. They are also going to try and supply their gas and oil platforms with super clean energy. The concept comprises of a windfarm that has 11 wind turbines. These are all going to be based on the wind concept and it is also going to have an 88 megawatt turbine. They are going to meet 35% of the annual demand for power and they are also going to meet 5 different platforms as well. This includes Snorre B and A and then Gullfacks B, C and A. They have come out to say that if they are able to reduce the use of gas turbines by supplying platforms with power then this would be done in an offshore wind account. This is a challenging solution but it may actually help to bring about new opportunities for Equinor, Norway and even other countries. It would even provide renewable energy while gas and oil production would be boosted. They would enable low gas and Co2 emissions and even Equinor have come out to say that the project is going to come to around 5 billion Kronor. This would provide a ton of green and renewable energy and it would also be funded so that new projects can be created as well.

This is a very positive movement and it just goes to show that when the work is put in, everything is will come together just fine. Of course, only time will tell if any other movements happen but this is interesting if you work in HGV jobs or even in offshore jobs.
