A lot of this is being done to try and help people have better working conditions. Better roadside facilities across the whole of England are now going to be attracting way more people to be truckers or even to try and drive down lorry crime. At the end of the day this is a very positive movement to say the least. Sites across the UK are being chosen and it is their aim to try and attract more people to the sector. They want to drive down lorry crime as much as possible and they also want to try and do what they can to improve security and resting conditions for a number of drivers.

They have said that each of the roadside sites are going to receive a set amount of funding and that this is going to upgrade showers and rest areas. It is also going to do a lot for restaurants. HGV parking is going to be upgraded as well and this is going to mean major things for the future. As the work is being done, more jobs are going to be created and this is going to help people to get the support they need when working in the sector. Only time will tell what the future holds right now but it seems that a lot of work is being done to try and give people the support that they need to feel safe when out and on the road.
