Quicktemp are partnered with a number of leading logistics and transport firms throughout Ipswich, Suffolk and surrounding areas that have several adhoc and/or on-going bookings available for HGV Class 1 Drivers for Days and Nights.
We work with companies that offer a variety of day or night work including the following:
- Trunking
- Containers
- Flatbeds
- Pallett’s
- Multi-drop
- Airport – Airside Freight
- Events & Production
Key Responsibilities in this Role:
- Transporting multi-temperature food stock (frozen, grocery, and chilled goods) to stores, including major delivery points like Tesco and Aldi.
- Handling deliveries to various company distribution centres, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to a wide range of customers.
- Shift patterns include days, late, and night starts
- Maintenance of a professional appearance is essential.

Payrates:
- Day: £17.00 PAYE £21.35 UMB
- Nights: £18.00 PAYE £22.00 UMB
- Weekends: £19.00 - £20.00 PAYE £24.00 UMB
What are clients expect if we book you in for a shift with them?
- Safe Driving HGV Trucks to transport goods to designated locations
- Following Safety procedures when loading and unloading cargo
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after trips
- Maintain accurate driving logs and ensure compliance with road regulations
- Communicate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries
- Adhere to delivery schedules and follow routes as planned
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in the UK
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- Digital tachograph card.
