It’s Time to Get Ready for the Big MOT Scramble of 2020

It's now time to get ready for the MOT test scramble for 2020. Test dates are now due to be allocated for next week for the month of July. The main thing that you need to know is that it's only for test sites that have actually met the DVSA Covid Standards right now.

The update has dropped into our very own inbox and it comes right from the Press Office. The DVSA are now starting to allocate some test dates from next week and some believe that the trucks that have been out of testing the longest are going to be prioritised going forward. If your truck was out of a test by March then you should know that you have until the end of September to try and book your test. If you are looking for a driver recruitment Ireland company to help you to get a trucking job then you should know that some industries have been affected by this backlog. If you are searching for a driving agency Ireland or if you're currently looking for driving jobs Ireland then you may be able to get your truck tested as a priority. At the end of April, you can easily get a six month extension but after May, you have a single 3-month extension only.

Of course, you should know that only sites that have been approved by the DVSA as being Covid-Compliant are going to be the ones who are allocating tests. Some ATFs will need to have some degree of modification so that they can comply before tests are allocated but if you want to find out more about this then make sure that you do your research so you can find out everything you need to know.
